Program Information

The lesson and training program I have created for Expressions Dressage is designed to build long-term and trusting relationships between owners and their horses.  Through my program, I aim to use classical dressage principles and the dressage training scale to help riders understand both how horses learn and the training process.  I don’t want to simply create results – I want riders to participate in every aspect of attaining those results and to become well-rounded and knowledgeable horse owners. 

Lessons

The Expressions Dressage lesson program is fairly unique in that I will come to you for your regular weekly or bi-weekly lessons or clinics.  Lessons run anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes in length and are custom-tailored to each, individual student and their needs.  The cost varies based on location so please contact me for more details.
  
Please Note: Appropriate and safe riding facilities are required and priority is given to clients with access to an indoor riding arena, as it decreases the need for cancellations.  SEI approved helmets are required on all riders while mounted regardless of age and every student will be required to sign a waiver, as required by my insurance. ​ 

Training

Horse training is offered as a service specifically for regular clients or those wishing to become regular clients.  Training sessions can be included as part of or in place of regular lessons and tend to be very helpful in aiding the progress of the horse/rider team.  The cost for training sessions is the same as for riding lessons but discounts are available for multiple sessions per week. 

​Please Note: I do not offer full training at this time and will not work with certain (serious) behavioral problems or start young horses under saddle.  Clients requiring these services can be referred to several other trainers I partner with for temporary full training to address specific issues.
